leonardo Uk air ambulance Drop in and learn session

Last Wednesday (24th April 2024), Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) had the honour of participating in one of Leonardo UK's engaging 'Drop-In-And-Learn' (DIAL) sessions, where approximately 50 Leonardo employees gathered to learn more about the charity's life-saving operations.

The session featured talks by DSAA's Unit Chief Pilot, Mario Carretta, and Critical Care Practitioner, Lauren Dyson, who shared valuable insights into the challenges and triumphs of their work. Simon Jones, Trustee of DSAA, set the tone with a warm welcome, setting the stage for an informative and inspiring event.

The highlight of the day was hands-on CPR training led by Lauren Dyson, during which one lucky volunteer had the opportunity to actively participate and learn life-saving skills first-hand.

The feedback received from the Leonardo team was overwhelmingly positive. Encouraged by the session's impact, Leonardo has invited DSAA to return in September for another event. Attendees were particularly inspired by the dedication and passion demonstrated by Lauren and Mario as they spoke about DSAA's mission and their commitment to the community.

Thank you to Leonardo UK for the opportunity and we look forward to continue sharing our mission and insights during the next session.
