Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that can turn your old car, bike, van or caravan into cash for any UK charity, including Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. With free collection, your car will be auctioned or sold for scrap, depending on its condition, and the proceeds (minus our service fees) raised going to the charity of your choice.

Giveacar is a small business that reinvests any profits straight back into their company. This enables them to continue recycling old vehicles whilst raising money for charity. Their business is focused on giving back to those who need it most.

History behind Giveacar

Launched in January 2010, just seven cars were donated in the first month and demand grew steadily. Giveacar now handles up to 500 cars and donates thousands of pounds to over 100 charities on average each month. Giveacar was the first service of its kind in the UK and allows charities to tap into a brand new source of funds. At the same time, it gives car owners a simple way to get rid of their unwanted cars properly and put them to good use, raising money for their favourite charities.

Giveacar is a great success and to date, they have raised over £4 million for more than 1,800 charities and coordinated the collection of over 35,000 vehicles.

How to donate your car, bike, van or caravan to charity:

Step 1. Tell Giveacar about your unwanted vehicle by filling in their online donation form or calling them to submit your details. Don't forget to nominate Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance as your charity.	Step 2. Depending on its condition, your vehicle will either be auctioned or scrapped. Giveacar will arrange free collection.	Step 3. Giveacar will donate the proceeds to your chosen charity and they will send you a receipt to let you know how much you have raised.
